Back when I used to collect, I would buy watches based on their features. Also if I was able to clean them and replace their mainspring.
Many years back, I picked up this CYMA (please excuse the uncorrected light balance).
A very simple dial with damage. I had a restorer make a new dial. I think i should have stuck with the damaged old dial.
Here is the movement before I cleaned and lubricated it:
There were several things that drew me to the watch. It had, what is it called, a para-shock? Always love the balance wheel screws. I also like the clean look of the movement. The second hand still had a hint of red/orange at the tip.
I wear it when I can, which is not enough.
There is something to be said about a time only watch.
