It's on the west coast of scotland (ayrshire), it's a british open venue, absolutely stunning place

Nice. I'll consider new exotic courses when I get my game below 110

Ouch
I'm a solid 6 handicap, won a bunch of amateur local championships...haven't had time to work on my game much lately, went with my son last weekend and shot 82...it was ugly for me. I did hit a 337 yard drive(slightly downhill), 6 iron on,,,eagled from 3 feet...I had 2 witnesses
I played semi-pro baseball for years, so I can crush a ball, my short game is good...mid-iron distance is sketchy....love the game.

Beautiful courses, we have link style here in the US also,,,but it's not the same, got to have the wind and different ocean humidity changes for the real deal

Whee. The only course I'd be unhappy with an 82 on would be a mini-golf course. I might get better if I played more than 5-10 times a year...but not THAT much better.

It's a tough game for sure, one of discipline and practice...very similar to archery which I'm also an avid participant, many parallel skills and mind sets. It's designed to challenge your temperament, test your resolve..they say "if you really want to know someone, go golfing with them",,,there is no place to hide your disappointment, and gloating isn't good form.
