^ Oops...accidentally edited your post with my message...

Wow... that might wear small with a dive bezel. Can you try one?

The dial and bezel/case proportions don’t look quite right to me, but that might be a consequence of unfamiliarity.

You should try one with a bracelet. The Omega strap in that picture makes it lie like a large watch. The bracelet hugs the wrist better. FWIW

I chatted with a guy who has one and he says the dial looks somewhat small. The lugs are 18mm, which should inform somewhat on the case size.

Today I want one of these

I have been thinking about a white dial pilot with black numerals etc.

First choice, but far more expensive than I can deal with right now.

I like the Damasko as well. (Is there a date-less version?) About half the price of the IWC, but certainly not cheap.

Then there’s an “Islander” model from Long Island Watch. Which is cheap.

    NH35; AR sapphire crystal.

I have that Damasko and I like it, but it's a full lume dial instead of white. Great contrast thought. There's also Laco...

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

You may want to add Laco

    to your selection.

I would be careful with the 42mm white (Type A) dials: I'm afraid they may look too big on the wrist, but that's just a matter of personal preference.

Keep an eye on or inquire at Dekla: https://deklawatches.com/pilot/typea40 -- seeing how they've gone a fully configurable way, it might be a matter of time before they introduce white dials.

^^^Just checked their site, with the same purpose. Fortis also had a white dial pilot's watch, but not anymore.

That’s a good point. I have a pretty big wrist (7.25 more or less) and 42mm is generally ok (though these days it is something of an outer limit). But I hear you about white at that size. Momentum has a white dial pilot at 44mm and I ruled it out based on size alone.

The Islander, by the way, is also a lume dial — not a pure white. And that’s ok.
