That is rather appealing.
Alas, my current watch fund won't stetch to that.
My first thought was for the black, too; but then I figured the blue is also kinda neat and 'goes' very well with the blued hands. Getting another blue strap to match could be a challenge, but black is black (I want my baby back ) and shouldn't be too hard to find a suitable one.
Some people have opinions - The rest of us have taste.

Black strap would be my choice, but not with that white contrast stitching.
Anyway, that's a beautiful watch.

Good looking watch. Both straps are beautiful.

That's quite nice. Except for the cut off 6.

I'm with you. IMHO, and with all respect to those who like the watch, that cut off number ruins it for me. I'd probably own this watch if not for that -- otherwise it is right up my alley.

Longines and cut numbers...sigh lol

I like it, although I would like it better without the cut six, and if the hands had just a smidge more difference in length. Those are the sorts of minor quibble that I use to keep myself from lusting.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I agree it is beautiful but would look even better without the cut 6. I cannot think of an alternative that isn't significantly bigger than 38.5mm though.

Cut off numerals are fine. They’re not cut off, there’s something on top of them.
And if they were OK for Breguet, they’re fine by me. But... the tiny smidge of 6 on the 1934 original is a little odd. The hand length looks fine to me too, especially on a sector dial.
No, I’d have to find something else to put me off. Like funds.
Some watches just occupy my mind for a week or two. Pictures end up on my phone. They’re a bit more than passing fancies, but not ‘must have at all costs’. Price makes some a fantasy, some get bought further down the road.
I might log some of them here, as others are welcome to as well.
