Such a pity they've bodged this with having a date window, why ....
Been after a fum'e , or whatever, for years. The olde Beijing , ace but getting on a bit , the wus st5 was an ice sliver to the heart when found out not pukka. Then this this tease. Don't like date windows. Nice watch , shame about the face....

I've always thought the Sea Q was a cool watch, but the size put me off (and the date position quite frankly)...but I did not know they made a 39.5 mm version until I saw someone post it on another forum just now... I'd wear this. Gladly.

I think the oversized numerals make the date’s destruction of symmetry rather egregious.

I did not know they made a 39.5 either, that would be a great daily wear!

It doesn’t look quite right to me either.

I mean, it’s OK, but I’d be looking for more than that from GO.

I like the SeaQ (and blue dial no date JLC Polaris).

The 43mm SeaQ comes with the GO Caliber 36-13. A 100hr power reserve in house caliber with 41 jewels and a big date complication. The 39.5mm SeaQ comes with GO Caliber 39-11. A 40hr power reserve in house caliber with 25 jewels. Both movements beat at 28,800vph or 4hz. I wish we got a little more out of the 39-11. Both the JLC Polaris and this SeaQ seem like good Sub alternatives for people like me, but going with the smaller size of the GO and I feel like I'd miss out on the nicer movement.

I really like the case shape. I think it’s slim and attractive, similar to the Oris 65. But the oversized numerals combined with the date window screaming out at you about the missing marker it replaced, it’s a miss for me in the style department.
