Well it’s been all go here over the last couple of weeks but after a failed Chinese clock for £5 and a sekonda that needs some work on the keyless works (or movement transplant ) which i have not got the time. And after many failed bids I managed to get something for a decent price (although the postage was extortionate) so here is my effort this time and surprise surprise it’s Russian a nice condition slava . It has the 2428 twin barrelled movement and is gaining about 3mins a day without me regulating it. i think the crown is wrong but apart from that a nice clean watch.

I despised Shakespeare at school, but it's surprising how much of it 'stuck'.

It still surprises me that I’ve never read Shakespeare or seen a play. I must have been at a weird time at school when other things were preferred although I don’t remember what they were. Apart from Kes which I remember quite well.

well the lad was local to me so maybe it was more force feed us ..I remember school trips to the theatre on the river before the globe was built if I remember right or could have been built but they did not want council kids going their remember a few modern done ones but I hated them the modern speech just ruins it in my eyes ... seems all most pointless to change the words as then it's not shakespeare any more but a farces

found some hard going and have never finished them others I have read them over and over ..special hamlet and romeo&Juliet and the Scottish play like some of the sonnets too but the king lear and henry was it I found tough to enjoy

yeah kes was strangely good, a boy and his kestrel yes can't remember much of school either like sciences.history .geography.I.T. woodwork ,home something ? (basically cooking ) but the rest nah was not for me
