    yeah kes was strangely good, a boy and his kestrel yes can't remember much of school either like sciences.history .geography.I.T. woodwork ,home something ? (basically cooking ) but the rest nah was not for me

    Home economics. At my school that was girls only, the boys did woodwork, metalwork and technical drawing.

    yes that was the case at mine well it was the un said rule a bit of a reverse sexist in away , but they could not actually refuse and so I was the only one

    think in some ways if males was not force feed certain ideas at school and in some homes things would be different

    The book was a part of our 'English Literature' classes; it was renowned amongst 'us boys' because it contains the word 'bastard' (several times), which was rather naughty and would get you caned if you said it aloud anywhere else in school.

    The film is an absolute joy for me and I've seen it countless times, because I can totally identify with Billy Casper from my school days.
