    Amazing Pictures - Post a few

    I have an insane fascination with the Cosmos and continually watch TV shows about the subject

    Watching one such show last night, they showed this image of Saturn, from the far side, as the Sun was just emerging from behind the planet..this was quite amazing..even more so when they directed the viewer to the left of picture and a tiny dot amongst the rings, the dot is the Earth, 150 millions miles distance!

    One of those wow moments for lil ol me,

    do you have any pics that do the same for you..?

    Well, the photos below don't have the aesthetics of your OP, but I have been following New Horizons closely and photos like these two of Pluto and its moon Charon are keeping me rather in awe.

    Since the Pluto information is changing daily, it's almost too easy to keep adding, but I'll just augment with this video that Nasa released the other day, a simulated fly-over using the most recent downloads.

    Too many watches, not enough wrists.

    On a lesser scale but amazing none the less.....

    Never expected them to be
    a) Full statues
    b) That big

    The biggest is 33ft and weighs 82 tons.
