What's a good spot for curved end straps?

So, I want to get a new leather strap for my Pan Europ. Something light brown so I can wear it more often (I just don't wear black shoes much, and while a black leather strap might "match" my white Sambas with black stripes, I want some options). I'd prefer to keep it alligator grain too, but I'm not too picky on that. I love the watch, I just don't wear it enough for that reason. My brogues are brown, all my boots are brown, and I only have one pair of black shoes that I've never actually worn anywhere because they're too nice.

Issue is that it has curved springbars. A soft, pliable leather strap will usually go with the curve, but then the ends of the springbar show and it makes the strap look a bit too small.

Any ideas? I know Hirsch has some options, but I'd like to keep it under $40--or even less--if possible.

What is the lug width? Could you possibly go up a mm to make up for the curve?

So if it is a 20mm find a 21mm strap?

I thought the factory strap was horrible. For what it's worth I wore my Pan Europ on a straight end Di-Modell rallye strap and I couldn't see the spring bars poking out. I think it could be difficult fitting a curved spring bar through a curved strap and having everything line up correctly.



I like Hirsch watch straps but unless you can catch a sale it's going to be closer to $100. Panatime.com has a Hirsch in golden brown on sale for $43.

I believe it's 22mm. 23mm straps aren't that easy to find outside of Victorinox.

i actually bought a fair few pairs of curved bars a while back. The Pan Europ and my Suunto X-Lander both have the same lug width and both used curved bars, so I bought like 10 pair off eBay. I'm sure I have them somewhere....

Raza....following this thread with curiosity as I too have been looking for a curved end strap for my Eterna similar to the factory one, which Eterna said would cost me an ungodly amount from them.

I called the majors in the US and they only spoke of the Hirsch ones, which led me to believe that custom may be the only way to go.

I know a fair few people think the Pan Europ strap isn't very good, but I actually like it. Looks good, wears comfortably, and is nice and thin (a lot of aftermarket straps are overly thick).

As as far as curved bars and curved straps, I had similar concerns, but it always seems to work out fine.

I I like those two straps you posted. They're definitely in the running.

Watchband Solutions has a very nice selection of straps at very reasonable prices, Raza. I don't know if they have anything for curved spring bars, however.
