You should all be proud of me...
...I showed massive self-control and restraint this morning.
I went to the doctor to have him check my wrist, which is healing from the surgical removals. I was wearing my Vacheron (perhaps a bad choice, but I didn't think about it beforehand). I put my arm out so he could look at it, and he took my wrist by pressing his thumb smack dab in the middle of the crystal of my watch.
Like I said, you'd be proud of my self-control--I didn't scream, yank my arm away, or shout "What the !@#$%^&*!" I didn't react (outwardly) at all...although inside I confess I was doing all of those things at once.
I cleaned it thoroughly when I got to work, though.

eww, doctor coodies.
Maybe take a cheap diver next time, so you can bleach it after?
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

First things first: glad your arm is healing well.
Now: what was your doctor thinking?!!!
And yes, we're always very proud of you, mlcor.

Thanks, C, yes it's healing fine although it'll look ugly until the scabs fall off. I try to keep them out of the WRUW pics when possible.

Thing is, he's a nice guy, I think he's just oblivious to that sort of thing. Absent-minded professor type. Probably wasn't even aware he did it.

You know as much of a watch nerd as I am, whats even worse for me is when someone is looking at something on my computer screen and they smear their greasy hands all over it by touching it when pointing at things on the screen . I don't hesitate to tell them not to in no uncertain terms though!
ps. Glad you're healing!

I have no sympathy - User error; self-inflicted trauma; inadequate precautions taken

None--that would have been much more painful.

On reflection, sounds like a third-rate attempt to lift the Traditionelle from your wrist. Lucky escape!
