Thread: Stowa Design Contest - Please Vote!

Stowa Design Contest - Please Vote!

Stowa, one of my favorite German brands, is holding a design contest to design a limited edition watch. There are a lot of great entries in the contest, but a lot of terrible designs, too. Unfortunately, the voting has turned into a popularity contest rather than a design contest, so many of the best designs are getting buried under "friend" votes.

If you want to help Stowa make a great design, follow the link below and vote for the designs you think are best!

If anyone has a design submitted, please let us know so we can check it out!

    Here's a link to the website: http://contest.stowa.biz/en/

There are some seriously good designs there, but it's hard to vote when there are so many choices.

If I was Jörg, I'd want the power of veto...

yes the good ones seem to get lost in the crowd a bit
one night I dreamed I was locked in my fathers watch, with Ptolemy and twenty one ruby stars mounted on spheres and the primum mobile coiled and gleaming to the end of space and the notched spheres eating each other's rinds to the last tooth of time and the case closed - John Ciardi ...

One of them looks almost direct copy of Russian Radio Room watch.

There are some designs there that seem to suggest that the designers know nothing about the Stowa design ethic. Also, a few nice ones.

I really think they would have benefitted from a screening process before the voting. Just too many designs and many of them really awful. You have to scroll through a lot to find the few nice ones.
