Stuck on an Island / Need help from mods

Could someone move this thread to Central? It belongs there, not this forum where I keep saying I'm going to post wine reviews but never do.

Not sure if this thread will go anywhere since I have no idea what to do with this information: I was scheduled to spend two weeks in NYC on business but that has now turned into six. Not expecting this I only brought one watch...and it's a little tight. So six weeks wearing the same watch which needs an extra link in a humid, wrist swelling NYC summer.

Oh...I love this thread! My watch was killing my wrist because I had no keyboard pad to rest it on. Was gonna buy one Friday but forgot until just now. Thanks IWL...this thread should take off like wild fire now.

Sounds to me like you need to buy a new watch....

Sounds like an excellent excuse to buy a new strap.

    Moving to Central.

I now see where this could go...is such advice classified as helpful or enabling? I wished I'd planned better since I'd have the option of wearing that Japanese if I did...Not that I own a Day-Date, but if the weather was cooler I may have put a Datejust on an alligator strap:

The concern is that Rolex SA's strike team would take my watch for wearing an OEM strap on the wrong model.

I believe there is, but it's like a $6000 cab ride from Chelsea to Midtown.
