Thread: Identify this watch

  1. #161
Dudes, relax!!! Ismy just missed this time, which is incredibly rare. He thought it was the movie "Spectre"…ghost(specter - US spelling)…get it. He does some posts every once in a while and after you get a couple right very quickly on his threads you just offer hints so that others can play along and you don't hog the game. That's all he was trying to do, as he's done on several occasions before here. This time, he just didn't get the right answer. Maybe I should have done a reset but thought it might make it a little more fun, well at least for me . For my part, I didn't give his clue a like as I usually do when I know he's got it.

And even a bit like this mid-70s Rado, which is a bit like... and so on. I do quite like it.

How can we relax with so much at stake!!!

(I know subtexts are missed sometimes in forum discussions and even emoticons don't help, so for clarity: of course, I was joking earlier).

Could be a perfect daily wearing watch. Similarly I was considering the Frederique Highlife which I like a lot too but 41mm and not COSC for the three hander.
    Yeah. But “Iron Walker”?

Indeed. If somebody asked what it was, you’d stop short after ‘Wempe’.

Wempe may be trying to corner the market on retirement watches.

Apparently it's named for the Mohawk skyscraper builders of the 1920s.
