    London.

But two or three of them (including Barrett) had previous connections in Cambridge (the town rather than the university).

Not really a fan of much of their other stuff, but this album (apart from 'Holy Lamb') just does it for me.

I listened to an 80s playlist from Spotify the other night. It was recommended to me as I had been listening to the Go-Go's. I must admit the 80s had better music than I gave the decade credit for. My wife came home from work and we sat by the fire pit listening to music from our middle and high school days, filling each other in on our younger selves from a time before we met. Reminiscing and reflecting can be fun.
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

Well, that was a wasted joke, then. 'Oblivious' is the title of one of their singles.
IMO - You've not missed much, they were 'a bit safe'; though this is worth a mention...

I only took notice because of Mick Jones's involvement.

Looks like we're at crossed wires with 'The Tube' ! I didn't mean the group 'The Tubes'... ... I was referring to the TV program called 'The Tube' (which occurred to me after the event that you may not be familiar with, and I apologise for that assumption). In the following clip you get a brief glimpse of the graphics I was referring to:
