Just want to say thanks for turning me on to BBC 3. There's lots of good stuff there that would never be heard where I live.

My pleasure: it’s been the soundtrack of my life since listening to it on a transistor under the sheets (teenage rebel!)

A friend of mine appeared on Late Junction. He’s not a musician, but runs an eccentric record shop in the bohemian district of Kraków. He was interviewed as part of a programme devoted to Kraków’s Unsound Festival (that has featured Robert/skywatch).



That’s him on the left.


My ‘under the bedclothes’ radio was John Peel’s Perfumed Garden, and before that, Radio Caroline.

Like this? It's what we had in the early 1960s
In 1966 my dad gave me one like this that he brought back Vietnam.

Although it only had 5 or 6 bands.
Years later he also gave me his Sony tc 500 reel to reel he picked up while there.

My friend said nothing of interest, misunderstood one of the interviewer’s questions, and the music that preceded his short interview was diabolical.
