I’m guessing the rumors were accurate.

    Indeed.
Another lesser known bass player died the other day from cancer, Peter Freeman.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Freeman_(musician)

"Freeman began his professional musical career in 1983 as a bassist with Indian electric violinist, L. Shankar. From there, he became involved with mainstream musicians, touring with Seal, playing with John Cale, Alanis Morissette, Nile Rodgers, Shawn Colvin, Sussan Deyhim, Elliott Sharp and Jon Hassell." Also did sound design for films and wrote music software. He was very well loved among the people he worked with.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Trevor Cherry, Norman Hunter, Jack Carlton and now Peter Lorimer. Another Leeds United hero.

Sadly, I suspect Gordon MqQueen won’t be far behind. Suffering from head injury-induced dementia.

I’ve read that, but I’m not sure the journalists have got it right. Gordon McQueen certainly headed a lot of footballs, but some reports specified that he has vascular dementia. My understanding (as a retired psychiatric nurse) is that vascular dementia is ‘normal’ dementia, unrelated to head injury. However, I haven’t checked what I think is my knowledge. I may have had this wrong for forty years.

How do you diagnose different types of dementia pre mortem? His family is certainly on the heading injury bandwagon.

With arteriosclerotic or vascular dementia, it would be CT brain scans.
