I did notice that the movement is exclusive to VE and that VE don't mention thermocompensation in the listings for the watches using it. Could one safely draw a conclusion from that?

i think not, becouse VE did not provide full specs of the watch. Certina for example also dont mention the precidrive quartz being thermocompensated....
