Interesting Article - Alton Brown and vintage watches.

A pretty good read. A lot of of what he's saying, I can have sympathy with.

I like that guy even more now.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Huge fan of Alton's. He traded his watch with another WIS a few years back, and it's mentioned here: http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com/abfp/...AltonWatch.htm

I met him several years ago and he was wearing the Omega from that story. I highly recommend seeing one of his live shows if you are a fan. Very informative and entertaining, even if you don't cook.

Heard of his show but never seen it. Have to respect a guy that favors a good ol' Tudor Sub though!

My thoughts exactly. Love a good vintage Rolex sub. But when I see someone who appreciates the Tudor Sub for what it is - and doesn't subordinate it to it's Rolex sibling - they definitely go up a few notches in my book.

He's like the Mr. Wizard of cooking. Didn't know he was a WISard as well. Well done, Alton (though for me, medium rare).
    Updated after some divestment:

Crazy story about finding his father's watch after all those years.

Damn good Dawg, too. (He went to the University of Georgia).

I like the guy even more, now.
