    ok then todays seiko is a 5y23 they made these from 1988 to hmmm 2012 I would say now this one is a seiko 5y23-8a11 so my thinking is dec 1990 from the ref num being quite low . and con one of the more seen seiko movements have several of these in parts so spare case / dial /hands you never know when you might find one to swap out parts on .
