"Oh, that brand? Hmm, I've no time for them. Pff. Except...."

"....except I do quite like that one.... yeah, that one, just ....there. Yes, that's it. Yes, over here, please. Mmm. Thank you!"

I think I'm probably like that with more than one brand. You?

Surely. I buy the watch model not the brand nor the region it was made in.

So you don't even bother to have snooty feelings about the brand in the first place, and you never adopt a posture that you find yourself needing to backtrack from with a sly little smile?

Rolex's current lineup with the exception being the Daytona.

Plenty of old Rolex I like but most of the current lineup just doesn't appeal to me.

Breitling has become one of those brands for me. Looked at a lot of their current lineup and some from last decade or so and couldn't see the appeal.

Then I went a bit further back in time and saw more and more great looking vintage pieces. This has lead me to appreciate some of the newer watches as well.

*Surely ; as I was agreeing with you. Hence I said I buy the watch model. There are plenty of watches out there from brands I love that I don't like and from brands I don't like but that one model comes out I love .
