    36 , the new 40

Had a pic. of the newest , both 36mm cased , granted thin and thick bezel which gives different vibes , but , is it the new norm for smaller watches , hope so.
What do you think , and please post, cheers

36mm looks just fine on me, and some thin bezel watches look a bit large on me at 40mm... then again I have a few watches I can wear at 42mm, and a half dozen or so 34mm vintage watches that look great. I think my sweet spot is 38-39mm though. I am glad to see these vintage inspired 36's, but I wish there would be more new models in my "Goldilocks zone."
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I like thin bezel watches, but that Smiths looks excellent. 36-38mm are my fave sizes.

I have a 40.5mm Orient Bambino and it wears HUGE being all dial and thin bezel, but yet a 45mm Seiko Turtle wears normal to me, as does the 42mm 009. I can wear anything from 34mm to 42mm (and the 45mm Turtle) but my sweet spot is in the 37-39mm range with thin bezel watches. That being said I can't take the 42mm Speedmaster off my wrist lately.

I have a 36mm vintage Seiko that wears nicely, but I'd say the most perfect size watch I have ever thad the pleasure to try on was the 37mm Patek Calatrava (5196)... fit to the tee. One day I'd love to have one, but not any time soon $$$.

My wrist size is approx 6.5" give or take...

    38mm Citizen:

    Orient Bambino 40.5mm:

If I ever sell a watch, this Bambino will be the first to go, even though I think it's a great watch... it just wears too big for my wrist.

I have a quite flat 7.25” wrist, and for me anything smaller than 38mm tends to get swallowed up by my wrist. It’s OK for a vintage piece like my 36mm IWC (helped by its long lugs:

...but for dressy modern pieces I prefer 38 or 39mm like the Up Down:

Definitely depends on things like the lug length and bezel thickness; this Zelos is 38mm but wears smaller:

For sportier pieces I still prefer 40-41mm, still comfortably small on me:

Even though I can comfortably wear anything with a lug-to-lug of 52mm or less without it overlapping my wrist, I’ve gotten rid of everything I had that was over 42mm diameter as a matter of my own tastes evolving.

For the industry, I think 40 is the new 40, after a period of 42 being 40. If you see what I mean.

For myself, my 7.5” wrist seems to like 37-39, although I can go bigger or smaller, depending on the style.

I've tried this one on twice too, and it wore perfectly. Tried the red grape like yours, and the white grape more recently. I really would love the white version, but both the grapes were excellent too. If I weren't holding out for the Explorer,I might have bought that white grape (it was used) and not an insane price either, shockingly.
