    Windows 10

    Anybody else upgraded yet?
I upgraded my Windows 7 desktop (Windows 8.1 laptop upgrade isn't available yet - go figure.) It went OK - took about 45 minutes. There were 2-3 minor problems afterward that I was able to fix.
I have banished Cortana and the Bing search box and installed Classic Shell to bring back the Windows 7 style Start menu. Windows 10 definitely boots and runs faster and no Start screen. Windows my way - what a concept.

Not yet, still running 8 on my Surface, which I've never really had a hard time with despite all the whining elsewhere. The wife carries a Windows phone, I'll get 10 on that first before taking the bigger plunge. I've really only heard good things so far though.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.

The most painless upgrade in Microsoft memory, and it runs like a breeze.

I've even got rid of Classic Shell.

I still like Classic Shell. Even though the Start menu has returned with Windows 10 I don't like the layout with the annoying Live tiles. I don't want the fate of the Subway guy to be winking at me from my Start menu.

I let my Win7 PC move to Win10, no upgrade issues. 10 definitely uses a quad core processor better than 7 did. When Edge is fully functional I will be satisfied.

Already a thread on this mate.

Classic shell is a little more human but 10 as is pretty cool.

With a lot of updates, including shut downs, seems that they are fixing bugs quickly too.

Not sure when .1 or 11 is due , end year or early next/ So far so good

Sure but if you want to pin a program to the Start menu. Windows 10 makes it into another annoying tile.
