Wonderful acquisition! I like it very much. I had a bit of an obsession about the story of the Glashütte watch industry, and had three GuBs due to my fondness for their specific numerical font. Those watches taught me that it wasn't worth collecting GuB until after 1990 when Nomos helped rebuild the industry there. The older GuBs were a bit fragile, to say the least. This new movement looks like quite an achievement. Congratulations!
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Congrats, a worthy trade for the JLC (though I'm still a bit shocked). Well done!

The preceding model can be had for a very good price, but it looks like you know that.

I did consider buying one, but the lure of the new movement was too great. The newer model is also more subtle, I think, without a full set of numerals and a fully polished case. There’s not a lot in it though, and both are appealing.

I'm on holiday next week and there is a GO AD there, I'll be checking this out. You know I'm a sucker for blued hands and a clean, elegant look.
