    monthly ritual

The autos need their monthly wind.
(this box needs new pillows and cleaning!)
I'm happy I don't have as many as previously.
    Gone but not forgotten:
Panerai, GO, Omega, Seiko, Citizen, Ball, Luminox, Timex, Dakota, Squale, Orient, Bulova, Sinn, Steinhart, Bathys, Casio, Hamilton.

Nice collection @chuckmiller. For me, the Omega pie pan is the star.

As far as pillows, a friend got me some nice ones for a birthday a few years ago. They were custom made from Etsy and have some nice designs on the fabric used to make them. He packed them in a nice cigar box, I use that combo now for my watches and my custom Pelican case sits mostly empty.

This Connie piepan is the one watch that even after all the years I have zero disillusionment with. It looks great, it runs great, and it looks great, and it looks great. I suppose like many people I have had watches that were "perfect" at first but over time the shine wore off.

I was on the hunt for a birth year watch when I found this one. It's off by 3 years but after getting it in my hands that 3 years no longer matters at all. And as I age 3 years is a smaller and smaller percentage of the big picture. The only way I would even consider adding another Connie piepan is if I could find the correct year and 18k with date in this same fine condition. And since I'm not looking it won't happen. I would probably have to pry the right one away from Mondodec but I don't think he ever lets anything go.

Yep, tritium is a great thing. Always on, always the same brightness over night, never have to "charge" it before entering the movie theater.... For me this particular Ball has one of their top 3 most well designed tritium applied dials.
