On Monday early this week, two masked and armed men approached a Rolex store at a mall in Century City, California. The two men fired some shots and told everyone to get down before escaping with some of the merchandise (the amount is unknown). Thankfully, no one was hurt.
According to the local police, the security guard on duty saw the two men approaching the store. As he attempted to lock the door, the men fired a few shots into the store to get everyone's attention. Once inside, the men instructed everyone to lie down while they raided the watch cases. After grabbing an unknown amount of merchandise, they fled in a stolen vehicle – which was later found abandoned near the mall on Century Park West. The men are still at large.
This is the second robbery of a Rolex store noted this year – there was another robbery of a Rolex store in New York City in May.
