By TLex This sporty little number with its flashes of yellow and its sailing boat patterned dial was created in celebration of a new partnership between Swiss Manufacture, Ulysse Nardin and the Artemis Racing team, Sweden’s first crack at bringing home the prestigious America’s Cup title, which even in its 35th year has previously only ever been won by teams from Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and United States.

The 250 piece Limited Edition of the Marine Diver with its vivid deep-ocean blue dial and strap with bursts Artemis Racing’s signature yellow, was revealed in Gothenburg, Sweden, host to the America’s Cup World Series.

With a pattern on the watch’s dial; where yachts seem to float on the ocean, the bold hour markers, hands and strap accented in yellow, the contemporary Artemis Racing insignia engraved into the steel element in the strap highlighting the partnership, the intricate wave pattern around the dial reinforcing both Artemis Racing and UN’s nautical roots – this is a stunning watch!

Forty-four millimeters in diameter and powered by the UN-26 self-winding base caliber, the watch offers a power-reserve indicator, small seconds counter and a date display at 6 o’clock, among other functions.

With a water-resistance to 300 meters, made possible thanks to an anti-reflective treated Sapphire crystal, a blue rubberized screwdown crown and caseback engraved with the team Artemis Racing yacht; the Marine Diver features a unidirectional rotational divers bezel that has been fluted with a wave pattern.

A sleek yet durable mixture of textures, including Stainless steel and rubber, the Marine Diver Artemis Racing is ideal for anyone that appreciates the virtues of a rugged yet elegant dive watch – that while striking a bold statement with its color pallet is as exclusive as any diver I’ve seen – just making a Summer release by the skin of its teeth!
