**** Well movie night is here ****

Well let's try something out you all have heard of a book club where you would all pick a book then discuss it after you have read it.Yes good you are with me so far so this is like movie club there are some great black and white early movies that are never seen.

So my thought is there is a great site that show's movies that have become free domain moves i.e the copy right has passed so they are public domain property so hence legal to watch so I will put up a link each week on the sunday night or maybe during the day then on the night we can disgust the films merits the style and so on

Hows that sound well I hope fun I have gone with a Bela Lugosi / helen chandler classic to kick this off in

    the 1931 classic Dracula

    As always Ismy
one night I dreamed I was locked in my fathers watch, with Ptolemy and twenty one ruby stars mounted on spheres and the primum mobile coiled and gleaming to the end of space and the notched spheres eating each other's rinds to the last tooth of time and the case closed - John Ciardi ...

think a lot of people miss out because they don't watch black and white films most of the modern movies are based on the black and white movies and so are the special effects even if done on the blue screen have all use the idea from the oldies

Same with non-English movies. Grateful to have grown up with subtitles to everything. Now it doesn't really matter to me if English/German/Italian/Korean or whatever. Spoken to many English speakers who have never watched a single movie with subtitles. Just think of what they have missed out on.

so what we think then is Bela Lugosi the best Dracula ever or what so for a black and white film it is still gripping and don't you just love that the Dracula dead and loving it comedy keep so close to the original movie and some of the effects work better then the modern cgi in my opinion so what was your thoughts and don't you just love the whole cast they work well together so let's here your thoughts ?

Shall wait untill sun up to watch
Years since that was on. From memory pretty good, always think Abbott & Costello are going to pop their heads around the corner on some b & w '30's

Who was the vampire actor which many thought may have been btw. The David Soul Salems Lot rising cloak always makes me jump, shame the disc is mono.
