Passing through Denver with a very special timepiece in hand, Breguet recently invited me and a few special guests to come over and check out their 1907 Grand Complication pocket watch.* Colloquially referred to as the “million dollar pocket watch”, the 1907 is a truly special offering out of the Breguet collection.** At 56.5mm in diameter, cased in yellow gold, the watch is physically imposing.* It is equally imposing from a mechanical standpoint as well:* Grand Sonnerie (automatically strikes the hours and quarters at each quarter, and minute repeater (on demand, chimes the time down to the minute)).* And of course the watch has the famous complication invented by A.L. Breguet himself, the tourbillon.Full details below, along with several pictures that I managed to come away with.
