The breeze; random non-Rado chat thread
How's everyone doing? Here, the local charity gala we sponsor is going ahead this year, albeit in a reduced way. 150 maximum guests vs the usual 350+, with proof of vaccination. While that might seem easy with a hospital charity the truth is many of the attendees are mid level management and office staff from the energy and mining sectors. Here those places are hotbeds of anti-vax beliefs.
Anyway, hint of one of the major things I am doing:
My what big teeth you have...
This is also one of the reasons getting Rado content loaded will be a problem for me for the next few weeks.

I enjoy seeing the decor you usually come up with for these galas and can't wait to see this one.

Thanks mate.
I've done many similar projects for other people but it's so different when it's your own house, and money.

This year is significantly scaled back. The attendance will be fixed at less than half of the usual and a few rooms will need to be as large as possible, so our interior decorations will be fewer and smaller than usual. If I can pull off the plan for the entrance it should be pretty good. Maybe almost as good as the ent for the Middle Earth Gala. Also, the party si next weekend and I started...uh... two days ago. I usually spend four months doing this.

Nonetheless I'm sure it will be fabulous as always Henry.

A quick before and after pic, although we have also completely stripped the original house back to its bare bones and started again with new insulation, heating and electrics to ensure that the house remains for another few hundred years.
