Watch Biz: Bucherer buys Tourneau
I thought this was interesting: https://www.bucherer.com/about-us/ne...rneau-llc.html
"Bucherer, the leading European retailer for fine watches and jewelry, announced today that it has acquired Tourneau, the largest U.S. based luxury watch retailer from an investor group led by Green Equity Investors IV, L.P. an affiliate of Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. "
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

This happened quite a while ago. Bucherer made some moves into the British market at the same time.
Bucherer breaking out from their well-established mainland European base.

Now I see the date, 2018, indeed not "news" ... but I just noticed this week for the first time that they had re-branded Tourneau as Bucherer in the USA, starting to advertise it as such; which I thought might be a recent change.

Savagely Average
I find major investments in brick and mortar retail intriguing nowadays. Maybe the scale has more value than I realize
