Thread: Problem inserting Vostok stem.

    Problem inserting Vostok stem.

So I am building up a brassed Vostok mod but the stem won't seem to lock in place. It almost seems like the stem release is still depressed. Any one have any ideas? Never had this issue with a Vostok before

hmmm have heard of them not locking back into place if not pulled properly and jamming or misaligned the stem cogs happens sometimes if in setting hands position when pulled ...

did hear that if you insert it and try to screw the crown down it might click right ...

but ant worked on a vostok in years

remember to be pressing the dimple in while doing it of course

hmmm checking an old thread some say it should be pulled in time setting position when removing the stem .. as it helps when reinserting ...

but thats a deffo no no on 3602 and 6497 as then the stem cogs are loose and first cog can come loose

also try tilting the movement as you insert it ...

might be worth removing the movement and see if it locks in place or not out the case if does then it's just not lined up or in further enough for it to lock in place
