    **** Welcome to A day at the Think-Tank ****

Well Wednesday is always a quiet day for me so I arranged to meet oh'd for a coffee and a wonder around the think-tank last time it was a wonder around a local museum so that was old stuff this was new and old stuff.

So went a bit camera mad it would seem I'm not the best photographer out there but you should get the feel of it. we tend to wonder around in no particular order to busy chatting really and then some things might catch our eye there was enough to keep us busy for hours

like cars strip down motor bikes and the top half of a lighthouse

It has quite a lot going for it think they should not have down grade the spitfire exhibition but it was cool that they had some full size planes still had some steam power machinery and also trams cars a c5 a wooden bike or two and a bit of every thing so today started off with the steam machines then the cars and other machinery then had a coffee break.

Then we look at the infinity wonders of the human body were we had a slight accident with one of the toys it was like a whack a mole game and well you use your hands and I smacked one of the moles and well it would not come back out for the rest of the time

Quite fun but quite well work out there was the mechanics of the human body and machinery that intimated you heart beating when you touch a pad and all kind of neat things to keep the kids and the big kids happy.

like the spaceman and the star and all that neat stuff

Then there was the natural world and a elephant skull that was quite bizarre and a lop sides triceratops it must have ran in to the wrong thing.and a massive dear and other great animal stuff.

there was also some wooden bikes

    the City of Birmingham locamotive

    and steam power trucks

    and trams

also a steam sewer pump and a textile machine

there was a board with lots of metal working done as a picture but with all sorts of metal works like curtain hooks and such like

I did bring a couple of watches for oh's to see my new Vostok and and old n.o.s Slava and a 1984 Seiko data-bank

Only gripe not a very wide selection of stuff in the gift shop hope you enjoyed welcome to A day at the Think-Tank with oh'd and I

    As always Ismy

it really did it had everything going for it and we went with out thinking in the school holidays but they was well behaved because they could play with so much it is a very hands on type place .

there was even a scale down half of a spitfire they could sit in and play with the joystick and dress up in the helmet and flying jacket I would have been tempted but it was like 10x time to small did find a cap to fit but that pic will never see the light of day I say never so it was educational and fun so yes gets a big 8 out of 10 as I said the gift shop sucked a bit I always like to get something as a reminder but there was nothing for me .. but price wise great for the kids as there was lots of cheap tat they could spend there money and it would not break the bank
