    Just for fun

What sports watch would you buy for up to 5k for your 36yo male friend who's kinda a bit like me... Needs wr and a bracelet. Doesn't have to cost 5k.

Damn. First answer and a front runner already. I think I tried it on and the titanium was too light. Will try again.

I love the idea of a gs but I find the cases to be funny shapes. I'm in London next week, I'll go try some on again.

The only thing that keeps me from adding the Zenith to my maybe list is the date. It's gorgeous otherwise.

One of my first loves. Case is a bit too basic I think? I know I said it doesn't have to cost 5k but these feel a little inexpensive compared to some of the other things I'm looking at I.e planet ocean or aqua terra again

If he doesn’t mind (super)quartz, the GS I’ve recently bought is still available -

Black or blue dial, £2,900 - or less on grey market.

If he’s interested in German instead of Swiss, there are numerous choices from brands like Sinn and Damasko, all well under budget.

Good call. I’m tempted to go and look at Sinns, but I daren’t…
