    Damn. First answer and a front runner already. I think I tried it on and the titanium was too light. Will try again.

    I love the idea of a gs but I find the cases to be funny shapes. I'm in London next week, I'll go try some on again.

    A couple that can be had sub-$5k used. Pics stolen from FS ads.

    Globemaster - if I didn't have my Zenith Espada I would have tried this already




    Blancpain Lemans Flyback - I usually avoid chronographs because of thickness, but this one isn't too bad

    The only thing that keeps me from adding the Zenith to my maybe list is the date. It's gorgeous otherwise.

    See, now that's a great alternative to the Zenith. You lose the case shape (although I do love this case as well), but you have a beautiful shade of blue, an interesting dial, and a much better date implementation.

    It doesn't have the fun bi-directional date of the Zenith, but it's a better movement in the Globemaster, too.
