Monday turned into an averted disaster. I was driving a heavy load of household items down to the new house (90 minute drive, about 120 km) and the car started to overheat and give me warning messages. So I pulled into the nearest Toyota dealership in Gilroy CA (almost exactly halfway between source and destination) and discovered the coolant reservoir was totally dry. Hmm... leak? Maybe some road debris hit a hose under my car? No idea. I left the car with them, fully loaded, to work on in the morning, and rented a car to get back to the old house to continue packing. I'll drive back down to pick up the car (fingers crossed its OK), unload it and drive back north and get ready for the movers on Wednesday. In the meantime Mrs. Skywatch is packing up the last of her office hoard of vintage computers, dusty cables, and maps she drew for the USGS. (Between the two of us, she might be the nerdier.) Sigh...
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I hope your car is an easy fix Robert, it's a Toyota after all. I've always found them to be amazingly reliable, provided they have clean oil and the coolant level is okay, hopefully as you say, it's a just small leak, maybe a new hose or pressure cap.

Hope it's an easy fix @skywatch.
We've got painters coming tomorrow, hoping to get all my paints today. Maybe a Christmas tree, too. Wearing this one today.
