Hope you aren't sick of macros - Breguet Marine!

This will be my final macro set for a little while, I promise!

Once again this post will mostly be a series of pictures, anyone interested in my older full review can check it out here:

    http://www.intlwatchleague.com/showt...cs!&highlight=

Some of these pictures are similar to some perspectives in the review but even in those cases I believe these newer ones are closer, sharper or better lit. Feel free to click through the pictures and download the full resolution image from photo bucket if you wish to look at anything even closer.

Starting things off with the rose engine turned guilloche dial.

    Faceted blued hands

Applied Roman numerals are also heat blued

    Hypnotic!

Instantaneous big date with dark blue matching numerals for the markers and hands

And now on to the movement, the Breguet 517GG is a higher beat modification of the Frederic Piguet 1150 and is quite a handsome automatic movement.

The bridges are beautifully shaped with some interesting curves to them. For instance follow the line running from top left to the bottom right…

… continued all the way in a separate picture to get the rotor out of the way

Twin mainspring barrels provide 65 hours of power reserve and are finished with a nice straight sunburst

The anglage is really beautiful with the bevelled edges given a curved surface and a high gleaming polish. Jewels are counter sunk with the sinks polished as well.

    Escapement

And the beautiful rose engine turned gold rotor to finish things off! Thanks for viewing!

I've entered a couple including this month's but I'm not too clever with themes! If the theme is "unreasonably close macro of greasy column wheel" I might have chance!
