    Cool New Longines Heritage models

Just saw a few new models from the Longines Heritage Series.

    All pics from web

There's the so called "military" model

    (circa 1480 €) 40mm case

they may be nice, but I'll pass, thank you.

But the models that may give me some trouble are the monopoussoir chronos:

    (2880 €) (2790 €) both @ 41mm case

I'll do my best to resist...must be strong!

Everyone has their own opinions naturally but I think that the chronos are far and away the best of their Heritage series - an maybe some of their nicest watches overall. I guess when I think of Longines I think more of their old chronos and dress watches than thinks like the Conquests or the Legend Diver. But that's just me.

Me too. Even the languid sound of 'Longines' suggests a bit of elegance.

The chronos (at least the one with the tachy scale) also come in black, though I think the white looks best. The black ones have the same white date wheel, which messes up the look in my opinion.

I really like my Heritage Chronograph, but it's not a cool monopusher. I'd love to have one of those one day.

That second monopusher chrono works for me. Intriguing feature, the monopusher. Still, I would find it hard to choose one of these over one of the Baume et Mercier flyback chronos.

The Military models are nice enough, but far too generic (by design, I'm sure) to be worth the $1500+ price of entry. For a field watch, one that you would actually put in situations for it to be beaten up a little bit, the cheaper the better. Hamilton's Khaki Field would likely be the most expensive I'd go for that kind of watch.
