    Garmin Instinct 2

I wanted to share on this forum few pictures of Garmin Instinct 2.

I purchased Instinct 2S solar model. It's about 42mm across, including buttons. The bezel is 40mm. Lugs are 20mm wide.

    It's my second Garmin Instinct.

2nd Garmin. You must like it. Do you have any specific uses for it?

I swore to wear only dumb watches... Until I found Instinct.

Instinct 2S improved overall but also comes in more manageable size.

I don't use the watches for text/call notification.

Just treat them as ABC watches. Bluetooth connection is for sleep moniting mostly.

For ABC I have been very satisfied with my Suunto Core.

I never owned Suunto. At one point it was a contender for my ABC watch but Protrek PRW-3000 won.

Now I own PRW-31 which is a nice watch but it doesn't hold a candle to Garmin.

Not only Instinct has ABC, it also has GPS, sunrise and sunset times, and world time (and its display on the watch face) , several alarms, stopwatch, several timers, vibration and chime, or both. Highly customizable watch faces, the choice of both negative and positive display. And these are just basics.

Then we have heart rate, respiration, blood oxygenation monitoring. Step counter, sports profiles for monitoring number of different activities and so on. And Garmin wallet for touch less payment options. I don't use most of that anyway.

All for about a half of a price of more advanced smart watches.

    Instinct 2S vs Protrek PRW-31

Garmin is small and comfortable. I can't believe all the functionality they put in such a small watch.

All of my G-Shocks became obsolete over night. This Protrek will stay with me for a while though.
