    I stumbled across this today, a reference 14000, first example I have seen with a black dial

    I just looked thru my stash of saved photos of 14000s and have non in black.
    I wonder if they were made in smaller numbers, or if the dials didn't age well enough for many to have survived.

    It is difficult to be sure from the sellers photographs how badly the dial has deteriorated as the acrylic crystal is also in poor condition. Flash photography/poor lighting also contributes. Whilst the black surface looks to be fading or lightly blistering in places, the gold details look to have not suffered at all.
