Possible sighting of the 60th Anniversary Diastar.
This is reportedly the 60 th Anniversary Diastar. I haven't found it on the Canadian version of the Rado site yet, so no real details yet. It's obviously a New Original though, so that's interesting. I am guessing that is the streaky "denim" blue dial.

It's a nice watch but I'm disappointed that there isn't more of a nod to the past given that it's a 60th anniversary piece.

I concur. I love both the denim dial and the Diastar 14 style markers but it hardly seems fitting for an anniversary piece. It looks more like one of their typical random LEs. I couldn't count picking one up out of the question, but at this point it seems highly unlikely.

I won't be rushing to pick one up, unlike something more along the lines of the 40 Years Of Diastar or 50 Years Of Diastar.

Agreeing with all the above. It really is a bit of a hotch potch blend of ideas (DSXL, 8, magic, 14), none of which have much to do with the DS 0. I'm assuming you're right and this is it, limited to 1962 pieces suggests that this is it anyway. It's a nice looking watch, but do I like it any more than the other XL 100's? Probably not and, is it a fitting 60th anniversary tribute, no, not imo anyway. It looks like they wanted to use up parts they had on the shelf, very Rado but, in a word, disappointing. I'm happy for it to be an XL, but it needs to lose those crown guards, have the date at 3, no day, and have a modern take on the classic circular ring with hour markers, 0/DS1 dial, that's what I'd like to see, make it a proper nod to the "0",60 years on. They did it with the Capta in, why can't they do it with the Diastar?

It's actually the same reference number, so pretty confident now that it is not the 60 th Anniversary Diastar.
