Chronoswiss is the one brand that looked worse in real life to me than in pictures. I always loved looking at some of their designs, the guilloché looked excellent, as did the cases. Then I saw some earlier this year in Hong Kong, and was terribly disappointed, they just didn't have the life and finishing in the flesh that I expected, especially for the price. Saw a couple more recently here in the US, and unfortunately had the same impression.

I also saw some Zeitwinkels at the Tourneau in Las Vegas recently. While the fit and finish looked excellent, the pattern on the dials is so subtle that it's almost invisible from many angles, which given the size of the dial and the minimalist design of the watch, left it looking too sterile for me.
