    Avast me hearties

It's talk like a pirate day if you didn't realise me hearties

I'm expecting an especially good one from Mr Brylawski

The Official site for International Talk Like A Pirate Day - September 19

Har harrrrrrrr , shiver me timbers ... I'm also expecting everyone to at least bring it up in casual daytime real life conversation.

    just blurt it out

    Har harrrrr

So, could you British dialect experts tell us what regional twist caused the Pirate sound?

That'll be my (pronounced moye) neck of the woods - It be a South-Western dialect ya swabs, brought about (an' I don't mean me ship !) by them Disney folks casting a Bristolian (or nearby neighbour) as Long John Silver.

Aargh! I'll continue with the claps of thunder and rum while sporting a (prematurely) grey beard and two day old calico. Soon I will attempt to adjust the headset on my corsair and pray my current condition doesn't send me to Davey Jone's Locker.

    In honor of seafarers everywhere:

It's not featured here, but jeez could Liam Clancy sing. I was named after the guy...true story.
