    Unsolicited advice

Saw another damn hipster wearing a metal Casio today and felt an almost overwhelming desire to tell him to sort his life out and wear something less obvious.

    (not the actual hipster)

What should I have suggested that gives a similar 80s/early 90s vibe without being so slavishly uniform like. Gold Rolex President? Swatch? Tag F1?

Logically the f-91 is basically the perfect watch so...

A Daniel Wellington on nato would perhaps be more hipster if that's your intention? Or a vintage JLC maybe, with a broken crystal.

    how bout one of these.

I vaguely remember a couple of my friends having these when I was in grade school.

Also...tell him...if he really wants to be authentic and stop being a poser...he would need to ditch his smart phone and have one of these in his pocket.

(man memories. I had one of these and played the crap out of it)
