When Fashion Brands' designers get it right

I know we have rather brittle opinions on fashion brands conceptually, but a good looking watch is a good looking watch. I was reminded of this when I saw this just now on today's wruw:

I was given this in 2000. Recently I popped into a brand of Hugo Boss and saw nothing equal to this in design or execution



(The bracelet is good quality too, but the 19mm spring bars are doing important work elsewhere )

Unfortunately it's a woman's watch, and it had a hot-pink strap on it when I saw it.
