Does anyone have one of the bronze CCs?

I'm a little smitten by the red Captain Cook in bronze...and the green one looks cool, too. Has anyone here experience with them to share?

I love the idea of them and think that the green one is particularly nice.
My issue is that the bronze is treated to inhibit patina, which reduces the appeal quite considerably.

I thought that deep red/burgundy with the bronze was a very impressive combination.

Indeed...and I just realized it reminds me a lot of a famous watch I once owned:

    It sure is!
And, after I had mine restored at RGM, it was too nice for me to wear, for fear of scratching or dinging it.

Nonetheless, I held on to it for a few years (mainly a safe queen) and then sold it for what seemed an enormous sum at the time.
A few months later, thanks to Antiquorum's Omega-mania auction, they were fetching $10-15k more than I obtained!
I saw mine for sale again within a year or so...the asking price was $16k more than I got. I've lost sight of it since.

    Hi Peter,
Mine was one of the original 18k Speedmasters produced in late 1969 to celebrate the success of Apollo 11.
It was #978...if you ever see it, let me know!

My favourite is the CC Bronze Chronograph in blue.
