Casio G-Steel is Super Tough

What’s even tougher than the Casio G-Shock watch? The latest model in the line, the G-Steel, which combines heavy metal construction with sophisticated looks. This watch is not for sissies!
Casio has long been known for inexpensive watches, at least until the brand started releasing the G-Shock collection. These sporty timepieces cost considerably more than the average Casio but have everything it takes to justify the price. The newest addition to the G-Shock collection is the G-Steel, a luxury model with extra-tough steel construction, more features and a sleek, stylish look that’s equally at home at the gym or the office.
The shock resistant, solar powered Casio G-Steel is water resistant to 200M and packs an hourly time signal, 1/100 second stopwatch, countdown timer, on/off button for operation tone and accuracy to 15 seconds per month. There’s a double LED light: one full auto LED light for the face with selectable illumination duration an LED backlight for the digital display with selectable illumination and afterglow.
The G-Steel displays world time in 31 time zones, 48 cities plus UTC, city code and the ability to turn daylight saving time on or off. There are five daily alarms and a full auto-calendar preprogrammed until the year 2099. The stopwatch has measuring capacity of 59’59.99” and measuring modes for elapsed time, split time and first or second place times.
The Casio G-Steel has two hands for analog timekeeping plus digital time with hour, minute, second, PM, date and day. The rechargeable battery is good for eight months on a charge with normal use or 19 months when stored.
The G-Steel has a metal body with a choice of stainless steel and resin bands. The Casio G-Shock site proclaims that the G-Steel is “Coming soon” and will have a price of $280.
