WRUW this Friday the 9th of December

Change for watching the Brazil/Croatia World Cup match. Timex E Compass.

I picked this up as a giveaway at the other place for the cost of postage. It was described as running, E Compass not working and Indiglo also not working. I fixed the compass by calibrating according to the instructions online.
I’ve read that Indiglo draws more power than the movement and won’t work if the battery contacts aren’t clean. I opened up the case but everything looks clean. I would still like to clean the battery contacts and I wonder what our restoration experts recommend for this. Robert? Ismy?

We're watching Brazil/Croatia as well. Impressed by Croatia. I am not sure about the Indiglo, but you might check the contacts at the crown switch. Do you have an Ohmeter? Also, perhaps the contacts to the EL backlight (not even sure if they are using EL or LED these days.)

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

    Jealous.
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

As threatened, I put this 36mm Vaer on a leather strap for the winter. I think it makes more sense for the winter months than khaki
colored nylon or black rubber -- particularly for this watch. That said, the strap I got, a $20 "top grain leather" model from Barton, is just kind of "meh". It works, but meh.

Couldn't quite get a glare free shot this afternoon.
