Careful what photos and personal details you share
This is rather worrying. Not only do we have to be careful when out and about but also what you show online.

Savagely Average
The internet is a scary place

True, but this happened before the prevalence of social media too. A weatherman from where I live was vacationing in Miami and targeted because he was wearing an expensive watch. They took him for a 5 figure bar tab, the watch, and most of his personal belongings from his hotel room while he slept peacefully, drunk and drugged. Always be careful.

Yes, even without the internet.
You can be followed and pointed out to muggers anywhere......

I'm traveling to Europe next month to visit my daughter. As always, I won't take expensive timepieces or watches that call attention to themselves. My likely travel companions are two new pickups -- a Casio Lineage LIW-M700 (analog, solar, atomic, world time feature) and a new G-Shock GW-B5600BC-1B (solar, atomic, world time, bluetooth). (The latter is a little less noticeable than my stainless steel version of the same model.)
