Thread: A lazy SOTC

    A lazy SOTC

I’m waiting on my next appointment, figured I’d play with watches to occupy my time. @geoffbot asked for a SOTC, so here’s a single shot of all but a ‘69 Astronaut that needs service.

    From left to right…

    • Nienaber Stundenzeigeruhr 37mm
    • San Martin skin diver 38mm
    • Yema Flygraf M2 39mm
    • Benrus DTU reissue 39mm
    • Glycine Combat 7 Vintage 41mm
    • Glashutte Original Senator Excellence 40mm
    • IWC Mark XVII 41mm
    • Glashutte Original Senator Sixties 39mm
    • JLC Polaris 41mm
    • Zodiac White Wolf 40mm
    • Wempe Tonneau
    • Clemence Photic 39mm
    • Yema Superman FrenchAir Force 41mm
    • Zenith Espada 40mm

Really happy where I am and generally not looking for anything but I may sell/buy some micros this year. I still need to service the Zenith and Black dial GO.

Field/pilot and vintage styled divers are most of my watches. I think the Nienaber, Senator Sixties, and Zenith are the only watches that don't follow one of those styles.

Lovely collection! I noticed you had the Nienaber on a sales thread. Very tempting, trying to resist. But I suppose that means you think you have too many?
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Very nice collection! But as Robert asked, why sell the Nienaber? Too different?

I like nearly all of them, and I don’t dislike the others.

    .

I love the watch, I don't enjoy wearing it. It may be a by product of wearing extremely legible watches, but I have to work hard to see the time and the rotating seconds disc may as well not be there, I can not see it at all. If I'm going to wear something when I get to be less active, I have too many other great choices I truly enjoy wearing that don't get daily wear.

If it sells or trades, I'll be happy to see it worn by someone.

Well, I already have three of Rainer's creations, which is enough for me...plus 37mm is on the small side for me anyway. So the field of play is clear for you, Robert!
