New watch pics - Breguet Tradition 7027
Just following up on my post in the What Did You Buy today thread with some more extensive pics. I'll post a proper review after while (not sure what to say other than its really fricking cool though :P ). Also need more photos once I get my new macro lens. But for now...
What really stands out looking at this under the loupe and at the macro photos is just how good the finishing is. I've often said that flat lighting in many pictures seen of the Tradition series really dull the luster of the frosted plates leading many to underestimate the quality of finishing on the Tradition series. In reality the frosted plates shimmer beautifully in most real world lighting conditions (particularly in gold) and once you look closely you can see the fantastic application of other finishing techniques. I think the anglage especially is done very nicely for a watch from a major brand positioned as "entry level". Quite a few interior angles and sharp exterior angles even on the steel "Parachute" shock absorber. Not razor sharp like the very high end independents but more than you would typically see from other "entry level" calibers from big brands I think? Nice anglage on the interiors of the wheels too.

Like I said, I'll try to gather my thoughts and take some more pics later but for now I'm just thoroughly enjoying the watch

I'm boring and like traditional style watches (the irony is not lost on me), but when I look at these photos I make involuntary hmmm ahhh sounds out loud. A fine bit of kit mate.

haha, yeah I suppose La Tradition is not so traditional anymore. Thanks for reading

The finishing is absolutely excellent! I’m no expert, but looking at those macro photos, it doesn’t seem like they put a foot wrong at all, the movement looks perfect. Wear it in good health!
